I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as where to score deals on them, just ahead! Where can I find Golden Goose sneakers?
Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick which was a major plus
How much do they go for?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400–$1,700, depending on how customized they are.
Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
How comfy are they?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also look great.
Best places to buy them cheaper?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a amazing experience with GGoose.org, so I think they’re a great option.
- GGoose.org – the spot where I bought my pair!
- Gilt – you can sign up for free!
- Vestiaire Collection – you can get $50 off your first app order of $150 or more with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – awesome deals on new or gently used GG sneakers
- Ebay – lots of incredible scores on lightly used pairs
- @likeabandit – she highlights loads of GG deals on her IG stories, so don’t miss out
Where were you able to get your pair?
I spotted mine on discount via Cettire and snagged them that way!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .
What’s the price?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
These sneakers typically range from $400–$1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Is the comfort worth it?
Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.
Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
